Music in Scripture

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16

Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Acts 16:24-25

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Ephesians 5:18-20

2 Kings 3: 15-20 "... But now bring me a musician.” And when the musician played, the hand of the Lord came upon him. ¹⁶And he said, “Thus says the Lord, ‘I will make this dry streambed full of pools.’
