Vocals and Drums
From my earliest recollection, I always loved to sing and play any kind of musical instrument. I followed the footsteps of my musical family (5 kids and I'm #4) to play the trombone from grade 7 to 11 including stage-jazz band. Along the way I picked up the drums and guitar. By age 11, I was the first to introduce drums in my church and continued to learn my chops in the worship band for the next 23 years. I accompanied myself on guitar to sing worship solos in that church as well. During those years, I attended a bible college in Saskatchewan and was a member of a travelling worship group touring Canada and the Northern United States. After moving to a new church (First Church of the Nazarene) 14 years ago, I continued to serve in the worship team as a vocalist while playing the drums as well. I love to play and sing all genres of music in the church setting.
When I think of "worship", of course my first thoughts turn to music. However, I have learned that everything we do in service to others and to our Lord is worship. I'm honored to be included as a musician and vocalist at St. Michael's.
