Inspirition Band Leader

Keyboards and vocals

Demetrio has been a member of the St. Michael Catholic Community as a pianist with the Life Teen Band, now called Inspirition Band, since 1999, joining at the time when the band was undergoing a transformation at the same time as the church building. Demetrio's first Masses with St. Michael's church was as a summer replacement for Parish Music Director Tony Klazek. That eventually led to then current Life Teen Band leader, Dean Schneider, bringing Demetrio on board as co-pianist with the band and eventually a regular position with the band.

Demetrio runs his own recording studio NavarroLand Music, as producer and engineer, producing local artists, with several CD releases under his belt. He co-produced the Shai award nominated Life Teen Band (LTB) album, titled "Now", released in 2004, executive produced by Dwayne Engh. The album features musicians who performed with the group over the previous years; several new musicians were also brought in for the project, including a Latin percussionist, an accordionist, a rapper, and a DJ.

At his studio, Demetrio produces and arranges and is often called to co-write songs for the artists he works with and uses that experience with the Inspirition Band.

Demetrio was music director for the Canadian Martyrs Church Senior Choir (1988-1998), the Calgary Scandinavian Centre Choir (1988-1994), and the Caribbees Singers (1988-1998). He has also played in numerous bands and currently performs in the band Unity Gain for the Impact Nights praise and worship series and the Dino Martinis.
